Barnardo’s children’s charity asked us to produce a video promoting their secondhand clothing collection in a creative and original way.
We created the ‘Secondhand September’ film in order to challenge people’s pre-conceived notions about pre-loved garments by showing them that sustainable and ethical fashion is the new way forward.
The slogan “Try something new, be something new” embodied our core message. And we reflected this through visuals which explored desolate landscapes (arid fields, harsh pylons and barnyards), whilst highlighting the natural beauty within these.
Results
Engagement with the video exceeded all our targets. We actively helped to increase brand awareness for Barnardo’s charity, encouraging sales of the their secondhand collection.
The proceeds from sales of these clothes are used to help children and young people to feel safer, happier, healthier and more hopeful.
